I'd probably give this place a 5 but...Took a random road trip and ended up stopping here. Awesome little community drew me to stop in.Awesome beer selection and the burger was probably in my top three. I think it knocked out Ecliptic's burger in Portland.Only downside (and saying downside is a bit harsh) I'd say was the service. The bartend was very pleasant and nice. But I think it's almost a common thing I've noticed on Washington is lack of attentiveness.I came in alone and hadn't been there before. There was no chit chat, no asking how things were, until I was done. When sitting at a bar it's nice to have a bit have bit of small talk, or asking if I like the beer I chose or what not.But like I said, she was very nice and was prompt with getting the order and whatnot. Just didn't think it was a 5. More like a 4.5

I don't give out my number 5 stars .. this place is great! Food is very tasty... Buffalo wings are highly recommended, along with the blackened chicken. They so have a great selection of beers and wine, and everything is reasonably priced! I will be a regular here...

The chili wa pretty good though a little too spicy for some of our party. The wings were not what we expected as they had a thick crusty coating of something that was way too spicy (most of them were left uneaten). Stiil, the only game in town when it's late and you're hungry.

I have yet to have a bad experience here. Food is great! Beer is great! Prices are a bit on the steep side, but not more than by a dollar or two. Kind of makes it a once in a while thing instead of an everyday thing.

My husband and I went there last night and were told to leave for absolutely no reason! We were getting terrible service and my husband had said something about the new waitress carding is after she brought us our beers and had actually started drinking . I’m pretty sure that’s why we were thrown out 2 hours later! They wanted to make sure we finished our food and had run up the bill before they treated us poorly The owner told us over the phone to “get off his Islan!”Horrible horrible

My fiancee is medically except and we were treated unfairly due to him not wearing a mask.

Decent beer selection but at $7 bucks a pint or $14 for a flight, it's a bit much. Decent food, too, but a simple burger will set you back $17 bucks; almost $20 if you add bacon. The kids menu tries way too hard to be 'artisan' so it can justify $6 for a bowl of Mac n Cheese. Seriously, do kids ever want artisan anything? In a nutshell, overpriced for what it is. Two adults and two kids? Count on almost a hundred bucks for lunch, after a tip.

5 stars because it was the only place open after 9pm on a weekday. Even though it was late night menu, there were good options. Friendly conversation at the bar. Will return if back on the island.

I was here for a fundraising event for Mr. South Whidbey 2018, so only had a glass of wine. It was fine!

Amazing mussels, meh service

Ample delicious serving of nachos that heartily filled my husband and myself. The beer recommended by the waitress was perfect! Great service.

Great food, lovely servers, usually live music, mostly locals. If you want a Whidbey Islander experience, this place is your jam.

Great service, really good beer, and even live music. I was there with a large group on a Saturday night. I had a burger and it was very good.I like that they allow you to pay with your credit card at the table and do individual checks. I definitely recommend this place.

Great community gathering spot

Came here for a beer but ended up ordering the blackened chicken salad and it was surprisingly good!

Johnny & Tiffany such a delight! We landed in the taproom in search of growlers and a nightcap. I had the cider Johnny recommended. We mixed it with the apple pie and cherry cider so good! Tiffany helped us with our growlers even though we needed to rinse ours first she was so sweet about it! Thank you guys!!!

Really enjoyed our 1st visit here. We didn't get to stay for the music but will def make another trip...And who else offers a basket of bacon??

Great group of folks. Wonderful food and drink. Just celebrated 5 years on the island with a BBQ roast and many good folks about.

First off, the Taproom has a rotating beer selection, which I really enjoy. For those who have found their "One true beer" this could be problematic. I found a coue of brews that I really liked, but there is something to be said for trying new things.The food here is excellent. My only negative experience was with a Cubano sandwich; it was a bit greasy, but otherwise delicious. I suspect the bartender, who had a full bar to deal with was a bit rushed. The crab cakes, burgers and other sandwiches were all excellent. Their side dish of a blue cheese potato salad was a tasty surprise. The basket of bacon is another guilty pleasure; bacon with dipping sauces...just schedule my bypass!The dining options on Whidbey Island are pretty eclectic. The Taproom at Bayview is a great example of that, and has become a favorite hangout.

Great beer cheddar soup. But the crustinis were stale. Nice server but she wasn't wearing a bra. Oddly, they didn't have ice for the sodas or water. But nice atmosphere except for the big stack of boxes on the overhead shelf over the server station.

Phenomenal as always. The Cubano sandwich is a must try. Great staff, very friendly and knowledgeable.

I had the roast beef sandwich and a IPA food was delicious service was on time and communicated well, checked in to see how the food was and remove plates when we were done with them... all in all great experience thank you. the three other people I was with seem like they enjoyed their stay as well.

Best Cubano I’ve ever had! And the tots were great too

This bar has a very unique vibe. We shared a bacon appetizer, caesar salad and cubano. The salad and sandwich were excellent. The bacon was a bit greasy, but had good taste.My three stars comes from the lack of drink options other than the bar. My wife wanted a soda and was given a can of all natural independently canned soda that was labeled heavenly but was anything but. I had a IPA pale ale that was horrible. Both drinks had an aftertaste that was so bad that we kept over eating to get those horrible tastes from the drinks in our mouth.We ultimately had to wave someone over to serve some water. The drinks truly ruined a experience that should have been a local island thrill.
